The Windsor Star and Media Street Productions visited Loaring Physio a couple of weeks ago, and then put together this short video that was shown (right before Charlotte accepted her award) at the 2010 Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

Windsor's Brannagan to join Virtue on tour
By Bob Duff, The Windsor Star, October 9, 2009
During the 2005 season, when back issues began to bother Canadian figure skater Tessa Virtue, she sought out relief from the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic in her hometown of London.
Instead of treatment, they offered her a recommendation, telling Virtue if she was interested in the best, she needed to get in touch with Mary Brannagan of Windsor’s Loaring Physiotherapy & Health Centre.
“They said, ‘She just gets it,’” Virtue recalled. “It was the best referral I’ve ever received.”
Since that day, it’s Virtue who gets all of her physiotherapy work done by Brannagan and as she preps for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, one of Canada’s best medal hopes - Virtue and partner Scott Moir are two-time world championship medallists in ice dancing - she plans to have Brannagan aboard for the ride.
Next week, Brannagan will travel with Virtue to Paris, France for the Trophee Bombard, an International Skating Union Grand Prix event. It’s part of a new program in which the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Committee is working with Canada’s elite athletes to give them as many creature comforts as possible leading up to the big dance.
“They asked me what I wanted and one of the things I asked for was to have Mary travel with me,” Virtue said. “She knows my body, she knows what needs to be done to keep me right on top of my game.”

Training Day at Loaring Physio
The first Training Day of the winter was held yesterday at Loaring Physio. A solid group of 30 biked for 90', ran outside in crazy wind for 20' to 45', and performed 'prehab' and core exercises for 30'. We all worked up an appetite and were rewarded with a wonderful feast from Koolini Restaurant that arrived just as we were finishing up the exercises. It was a wonderful morning of positive energy and social camaraderie. Everyone left with a smile, inspiration, and a full belly.
There will be two Training Days in January: Sunday January 11th and 25th. There is no charge to participate in these Training Days and athletes of all ages and ability are welcome. It will be a pot-luck theme where everyone brings a healthy appetizer. It is the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning: 3h of inspiration and educational group exercise, followed by replenishing with a dozen healthy appetizers :-)

Launch of the New Loaring Physiotherapy & Health Centre
This past weekend was very busy with much on the 'to do' list. But the most important item on this list to put a check by, was to help big sis relocate Loaring Physio into a brand new 5400 square foot property in Tecumseh, Ontario. 30 friends helped out for a portion of the weekend. I can't believe how much we accomplished in 48 hours. The new facility is amazing, and so are all of our friends!
The large open concept workout area will be able to accommodate mega training days over the winter. The right side of the room (not visible in pic) is where the physio beds are located.
The new Loaring Physiotherapy & Health Centre is open for business today. And a new chapter begins. Onwards and upwards we go.

Loaring Physiotherapy & Health Centre Expansion and Relocation Announcement
September 29, 2008 marks the exciting expansion and relocation of Loaring Physiotherapy & Health Centre to its new 5400 sq ft facility in Tecumseh (13126 Tecumseh Rd E, just west of Manning Rd).
Charlotte Loaring (Registered Physiotherapist, Owner, & Member of LPC), and the team at Loaring Physiotherapy, paired up with renowned local architect, Joseph Passa (Passa Associates Inc.), and professional engineer & contractor, David Petretta (Petretta Construction Inc.), to design and construct a new 5400 sq ft state-of-the-art health facility. The facility design takes into account all factors, including: artistic vision, innovation, privacy, safety, client and staff comfort, customer service, natural light, audio-visual capabilities, and educational/ resource opportunities. Windsor/Essex hasn’t seen anything like this before.
This new facility will allow the team at Loaring Physiotherapy to continue to expand and improve its services in a way our community deserves.
An Open House Evening will take place in November, and will be widely advertised. We invite you to come then, or at any other convenient time, to tour our facility, and meet and ask questions of our team.
